St Andrew's Church, Banwell

St Andrew’s Banwell is a welcoming community where faith, friendship, and village life come together.

Welcome to St Andrew's

A very warm welcome to St Andrew’s Banwell. We’re a church at the heart of village life, where people of all ages can come together, find belonging, and take a step closer to faith in a relaxed and friendly setting.

Whether you’re exploring church for the first time or looking for a new spiritual home, you’ll find a space that is open, down-to-earth, and rooted in community. We value genuine connection, shared life, and a faith that speaks into everyday living.

There’s a strong sense of welcome here for families, children, and young people, with opportunities to feel included and engaged as part of the wider church family. Above all, we hope St Andrew’s is a place where you can come as you are and feel at home.

Come As You Are

A very warm welcome to St Andrew’s Banwell. We are a friendly and welcoming congregation, and we love meeting new people; whether you’ve been to church for years or are just curious to come along for the first time.

Our services are relaxed and informal, with a real sense of community. We sing together, spend time in prayer and reflection, and share life in a way that is accessible and meaningful for all ages. Families are especially welcome, and we aim to make church a place where everyone feels comfortable and at home.

For children and young people, there’s space to be themselves and get involved. We have a play area at the back right of the church, and during services our Youth Minister, Caz, leads fun and engaging activities, including crafts and Lego sessions. It’s a great way for younger members of our church family to explore faith in a creative and relaxed environment.

We also have a special relationship with Banwell Primary School. Caz regularly visits the school to lead assemblies, helping to strengthen the connection between church and community and support young people in their everyday lives.

When We Meet

  • Sunday Services: Every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month at 10:30am

  • Midweek Communion: Every Tuesday at 9:00am

After our Sunday services, you’re warmly invited to stay for refreshments, there’s always tea, coffee, biscuits, and often cake! It’s a great chance to chat, get to know people, and feel part of the community.

Get Involved

We are always looking for people to get involved in church and community events, but there’s no pressure. You can take part as much or as little as you like.

Some ways people join in include:

  • Flower arranging team – help decorate the church, with guidance and support from experienced members

  • Fundraising events – such as Strawberry Teas, jumble sales, raffles, and other community activities

  • Coffee & Chat mornings – every Wednesday from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the Scout Hut, supported by the church

Getting involved is a wonderful way to meet people, have fun, and help make St Andrew’s Banwell a thriving, welcoming place for everyone.

Whether you come on your own, with friends, or as a family, you’ll find a warm welcome here.

Come as you are, we’d love to see you.
