Community Outreach – Serving Our Villages Together 

At New Creation Churches, we aim to be a church that actively engages with and serves our local community, building relationships, offering support, and celebrating the life of our villages. Through practical acts of love and service, we seek to live out our faith together and show God’s love in action.

Our commitment to the community is reflected in a wide range of activities, including: 

  • Outreach to people living in new housing developments  

  • Regular Coffee and Chat sessions in both Banwell and Congresbury  

  • Supporting village events such as Congresbury’s village fête, Strawberry Tea, and annual harvest suppers  

  • Take 5 – a Friday morning drop-in session offering refreshments and fellowship for young families at St Andrew's Congresbury, 8am to 9am during term-time.

  • Supporting local nursing homes  

  • Banwell’s monthly Men’s Breakfast, book a place with Dennis Cruze.

We also celebrate community spirit through Love Congresbury and Love Banwell, the outreach arms of our church family. These groups organise village events, raffles, quizzes, and Random Acts of Kindness, providing opportunities for everyone to get involved, volunteer, and make a difference. 

Through these activities, we hope to create welcoming spaces, meaningful connections, and practical support across our villages—demonstrating that church is not just a building, but a living, caring presence in the heart of our community.

Love Banwell – Supporting Our Village 

Love Banwell works alongside local organisations to support the village through fundraising, events, and community engagement. 

We are actively involved in village markets, organising raffles and “Win a Hamper” events, helping with flower arranging, supporting the church, and running Coffee and Chat, a friendly weekly gathering where neighbours can meet, share conversation, and build connections. 

Whether you’d like to volunteer, help at events, or simply get involved in village life, there’s a place for you to contribute and be part of our welcoming community.

Love Congresbury – Bringing Our Village Together 

Love Congresbury celebrates and supports village life through a variety of fun, engaging, and community-focused events. Some of our regular activities include: 

  • ‘Party in the Paddock’ – a lively village gathering in the summer  

  • ‘The Do after The Show’ – a music event following the annual Summer Fete  

  • Quiz nights at The Plough Inn  

  • Duck Race on Millennium Green  

All profits from these events are used solely to support further village projects, helping to make Congresbury an even better place to live. 

We also support the village through Random Acts of Kindness, finding small ways to brighten lives and bring neighbours together.
